The main part that sits on your shoulders is made of foam covered in cloth, while the "needles" are made from cans!! The tubes connect to the back of the cans and connect into holes in the waist belt pieces! Some pieces are flimsy and need some glue work, while maybe one or two pieces just need replacing?
