PLEASE READ!
I’ll be very honest - this is a very bad quality cosplay, hence the price. This was bought from Miccostumes 8-9 years ago, and I think it has good foundations for alterations or can suffice as a cosplay if you’re not too picky about quality, but here are the glaring errors with it:
- The fit is incredibly awkward. I removed any threads that remained from my clumsy 14 y/o adjustments, but the collar rests very strangely on your shoulders/chest and the top layer dress doesn’t seem to be fitted to the bottom layer dress at all (it’s so long it extends past the hoop and scallops).
- The buttons on the front were removed. When I ordered the costume, the buttons on the top layer dress came both very loosely attached and in the wrong color (Eruka’s buttons are orange), so I removed them a long time ago with the intention of replacing them, but never did.
- The white spots are some sort of cheap vinyl and have wear on them, but that may just be from time. The costume was just fully hand-washed and the discoloration did not lift, so it’s not dirt.
- The hoop on the bottom layer dress has a bit of a warped oblong shape, but I imagine it would get warped in shipping anyways and can probably be fixed with heat.
This isn’t meant to dissuade you from buying the piece — I just want to be very transparent about it. Here’s the other features about it:
- There’s three pieces total: the bottom layer dress, which is made from a stretch knit fabric; the top layer dress, which is made from some sort of lightweight synthetic fabric; the hat, which appears to be costume satin and ping pong balls. The hat has a comb I sewed into it to keep it in place as well as an elastic band that it came with.
- There is a zipper on the side of the black dress, the gray one is stretchy so it doesn’t have one.
- The dress layers are completely separate and don’t have any additional velcro or hooks to keep them together.
