Princess Zelda Royal Dress Cosplay - The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
This custom-tailored Zelda costume was created for me in 2020 by costume designer Somerset Sews (https://twitter.com/somersetsews?lang=en) and costuming company Dangerous Ladies (https://dangerousladies.ca/).
The dress was created by Somerset Sews, while the 3D printed / resin and rubber cast pieces (Tiara, Belt Buckle, and rubber-cast Glove Details) were made to order from Dangerous Ladies.
This is a pre-owned costume that was worn once by myself.
The measurements are as follows:
- Bust - 38 inches
- Waist - 32 inches
- Hip - 36 inches
- Height - 5 foot 3 inches
This set includes:
- Resin tiara
- Rubber-cast rubber details (separate from bodysuit, can be glued to fabric if desired)
- Bodysuit with built in gloves
- Tulle underskirt
- Pleated underskirt
- Velvet skirt with gold embroidered details
- Velvet cropped top with built in belt and long, dramatic sleeves
- Gold corset-belt with velcro-removable Tabbard (craft foam covered in fabric)
- Please note defects in the final photo. They are as follows:
- There are embroidered flowers throughout the costume that feature a gold bead detail. These beads are fragile, however, and several have snapped off. While the original beads could not be recovered, I purchased a new gold bead and have glued them on where needed.
- There is a small rip in the fabric (about 1 cm in length) on the bottom of the velvet skirt within the gold detailing.
- The tulle underskirt ripped due to its fragile material. I have since hemmed it using stitch witchery (photo 3 in the collage).
